About Me
My name is Amanyire Yassin, and I am 28 years old from Kasese District, Western Uganda. After completing my Senior Four in 2017, I faced financial constraints that delayed my journey into higher education for nearly two years. In 2019, however, Sendea gave me a life-changing opportunity to pursue a short course training in renewable energy (solar) at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute. There, I gained vital skills in solar system sizing, installation, and troubleshooting.
This training opened doors for me, allowing me to work part-time with various solar companies, which helped me raise funds for my National Certificate in Electrical Installation. Currently, I am working towards my Diploma in Electrical Engineering. I am deeply thankful to Sendea for providing me with that first step toward a brighter future.
My Journey with Sendea
In early 2019, Sendea provided me with the opportunity to study a short course in renewable energy (solar), and it truly made a difference in my life. The skills I acquired in solar system sizing, installation, and troubleshooting not only gave me the confidence to pursue a career in renewable energy but also enabled me to earn an income through part-time work with solar companies. This allowed me to raise the necessary funds to continue my education.
Through my journey, I have come to realize that education is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth. Sendea was the foundation that helped me to build the future I am working towards today.
Career Aspirations
I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Electrical Engineering while working to further develop my skills in renewable energy. My aim is to contribute to the sustainable energy sector, particularly in solar energy, and to help improve lives through affordable and reliable energy solutions.
