From 7th April to 8th May 2026, we proudly concluded the Solar PV Design, Installation & Maintenance Training Program, implemented by the Sendea Institute for Energy and Management in partnership with Nakawa VTC, the National Renewable Energy Platform, and funded by Stiftung Solarenergie StS gGmbH.
Over five intensive weeks, 11 dedicated participants (10 male, 1 female) gained practical, hands#on expertise in solar system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The program seamlessly blended classroom learning with field practice at Solar Nation – Ntinda, where trainees engaged directly with operational solar installations. A highlight of the practicum was a solar water pumping demonstration, giving participants real#world exposure to advanced applications of solar technology.
During the closing ceremony and graduation, awarding certificates was smoothly moderated by Sendea’s Business Development Officer, Madrama Denis, ensuring an engaging celebration of achievements. Loy Florance Kyozaire, Certified Energy Manager & CEO of Sendea Institute, through Mr. Joseph Nsadha, Training Coordinator, congratulated participants and emphasized resilience, teamwork, and inclusivity in the renewable energy sector. Chief Guest Eng. Dan Mauso, ERA Consultant & Director of Dan Tek Engineering Company Ltd., applauded the trainees for their unwavering commitment and encouraged them to pursue specialization for excellence in the renewable energy field. In recognition of excellence, Sendea Institute was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the National Renewable Energy Platform for outstanding implementation of the Solar PV Systems Design, Installation & Maintenance Training Program.
Inspired by these powerful messages, the graduates are now ready to step confidently into the renewable energy sector as qualified solar technicians, equipped to drive clean energy access and contribute to sustainable development in their communities.
A heartfelt appreciation to Stiftung Solarenergie StS gGmbH for making this training possible. Together with our partners, we continue to empower the next generation of solar professionals shaping Uganda’s energy future.
