As the demand for renewable energy continues to grow, the need for skilled technicians in the solar industry has never been greater. To meet this demand, Nakawa Vocational Training College, in partnership with SENDiA Institute of Energy & Management and funded by Stiftung Solarenergie – Solar Energy Foundation, is offering a Design, Installation & Maintenance of Solar Systems Training Program for Technicians.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants should hold a UACE certificate, diploma, or higher qualifications in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Or any other engineering-related field
The program welcomes both men and women, with a strong encouragement for women to apply and join this fast-growing sector.
Training Contribution
Participants will contribute UGX 700,000 for the entire training program.

Upon enrollment, trainees will receive:
- Toolboxes
- Overalls
- Helmets
- Certificate of Competence upon completion
