​Mr Mukalazi Jimmy

Finance manager

Jimmy is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU, FM 3967) with over 13 years of experience in finance, audit, and consultancy across Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda.

He holds a BSc in Accounting & Finance from Uganda Martyrs University and is currently completing an MBA at Makerere University (dissertation stage). He also holds a Uganda Diploma in Business Studies from Makerere, completed ACCA Level 1 and F8 -Auditing & Assurance. Jimmy has worked with renowned firms such as Uganda Securities Exchange, where he served as Head of Finance, and PKF Uganda, where he advanced to the role of Assistant Assurance Manager. His career spans a wide range of sectors including trading, energy, construction, hospitality, healthcare, and logistics, with hands-on expertise in IFRS reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and systems implementation using software like QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, and Sage.

Jimmy serves as a Financial Consultant with Zalman Capital Ltd and has provided private consultancy to a number of entities. He has recently delivered private consultancy services for organizations like Balinda Children’s Foundation, Gooray, Mukisa Safaris, and Kaglon Medical Supplies, helping them streamline operations, setting up financial systems, train staff, improve compliance, and enhance financial reporting through tailored system setups and staff training. His strong leadership, problem-solving, skills, regulatory knowledge, ability to align financial processes with strategic business goals and systems expertise make him a valuable asset in both corporate and development finance environments.
