
Phionah Nalubega
Programs Officer
Phionah holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and certifications from various
training programs in renewable energy, climate change, capacity building (ToT), and green
enterprise incubation. She is an alumnus of the African Fellowship for Young Energy Leaders,
and the United Nations University/ImpulSouth Climate Leadership Program.
With over seven years of experience, Phionah has led and supported renewable energy and
capacity-building projects addressing clean energy access, climate change, poverty, and
inequality. She is committed to creating demonstrable impact towards people and the planet for
an equitable and sustainable future for all.
As a Programs Officer at SENDEA, Phionah has successfully implemented training and
capacity-building programs funded by donors such as GIZ, the International Solar Alliance,
Stiftung SolarEnergie GmbH, Jugend Eine Welt, the Austrian Development Cooperation, and
NEFCO-BGFA. Through these initiatives, over 400 youths—30% of whom are women—have
been empowered with technical, business, and soft skills to enhance their employability.
Her expertise spans market research, business development, training development and delivery,
project and financial management, stakeholder engagement, partnership building, proposal
writing, and communication.
